COSMOLEDO ATOLL FISHING NEWS | 31 MARCH – 02 APRIL 2022
Week 22 we had full moon spring tides with a lot of water movement. There were a lot of fish seen and a few big fish lost this week that I’m sure won’t be forgotten about for a long time.
The angler of the week definitely goes to Guido Rahr who arrived in the Seychelles being brand new to GT fishing and managed to catch his first ever GT on the first day. He then went on to upgrade this on the second day breaking the metre mark, landing a 104 cm GT.
There were a few firsts this week on the GT front with Charels Bethel, Andy Laursen and Randall Stephenson who left it to the last day and finally managed to make one stick, landing a fish with 15 minutes remaining of the day. In the end everyone managed to land at least one of these trophy fish.
The week was fished in a variety of ways with some bluewater action also involved. There was quite a bit of tuna and wahoo about and a few very close encounters but unfortunately nothing made it to the boat.
Well done to all our anglers for a phenomenal week of fishing!
Tight lines,
From Alphonse Fishing Co. Team on Cosmoledo Atoll
