COSMOLEDO ATOLL FISHING NEWS – A Mixed Week of Leisure, Diving and Fishing Guests, but still a 104 cm GT in the surf!

    22 March 2020

    Cosmoledo Atoll Fishing News | 12th – 17th March 2020

Week 17 was a rather unusual week out here on Cosmoledo as there was a mixed bag of divers, fly anglers and leisure all enjoying what Cosmoledo has to offer.

Barbera and Charles Osbourne headed up the diving for the week and were joined by Sue Barnes and Carol Powter later in the week. Diving at Cosmoledo is an amazing experience. They had great sightings during their dives, these sighting including huge schooling batfish, oriental sweetlips and barracuda were just a few of their underwater highlights.

Denis and Nadia Laptev had the fishery all to themselves for the first few days and capitalised on some great opportunities, however strong winds made it difficult at times. They both landed a fair amount giant trevally and Nadia with a fantastic yellowmargin triggerfish on the final day.

David Powter and Greg Barnes joined us on the Monday and got stuck into the fishing straight away. David landing the fish of the week being a wonderful 104 cm GT in the surf zone, what a catch for him!

    Tight Lines,
The Alphonse Fishing Co. Team on Cosmoledo Atoll.
