COSMOLEDO ATOLL FISHING NEWS | 3 – 10 NOVEMBER 2022
The first week of fishing on Cosmo started with lovely weather, sunny skies, and a comfortable breeze. Day one started off slow testing the water and seeing what was out and about.
Patrick Quarmby started with a bang, landing a powerhouse of a GT measuring 92 cm, while David Poster added another GT to his ever-growing tally. Micheal beamish (Beamer) also managed to land a good-sized Cosmoledo bonefish.
On day two we had to work a little harder, but despite that Greg Barnes managed to land himself a GT of a lifetime stretching the measuring tape to a whopping 115 cm.
The following few days were tough fishing, however, the guys managed to land a few African marble grouper, jobfish, and swallowtail grouper.
Day five produced some good fish, Patrick landed another GT, Arthur Major landed a picture-perfect moustache triggerfish and Grant Rumbles took the ‘angler of the day’ title landing his first milkfish ever.
On day six, Micheal Minkeley added another GT to his tally. Bruce and David both had an epic last day on the flats, with Bruce landing two GTs and four big bonefish, while David landed a big moustache triggerfish.
An awesome first week here on Cosmoledo with a lovely bunch of returning guests and familiar faces, although the fishing was slower than usual a great week was had by all.
Stay tuned for next week’s report.
Tight lines,
