Farquhar’s diverse fishery gave our small group of anglers ample opportunities to target an array of species, despite some challenging weather conditions this week.
The anglers had a fantastic start to their week, catching some big bonefish, up to the 60 cm mark. Going into midweek, a nice GT was landed, as well as some trophy fish hooked and lost, leaving the anglers with many stories and eager to return for a rematch.
Towards the end of the week, the anglers landed more trophy bonefish, and some big African marbled grouper up to 90 cm. The day became exciting when big balls of baitfish moved into the area, followed by schools of tuna. Popping on the outside of the lagoon produced some explosive takes, resulting in an angler landing a massive tuna after an epic battle.
On the whole, the small group of anglers had a fantastic week with great opportunities and some amazing fishing.
