    COSMOLEDO ATOLL FLY FISHING REPORT | 24 APR – 01 MAY 2025

Our final week of the 2024/25 Cosmoledo season was shaped by the new moon spring tides of April. With the new moon falling midweek, we experienced strong tidal movements across all fishing days. Early in the week, low tide occurred in the mornings and gradually shifted toward midday as the days progressed. These conditions opened up extensive walking opportunities—both along the surf zones and inside the lagoon—providing anglers with a dynamic and rewarding experience.

Among the week’s highlights were some truly memorable “firsts” for several of our guests. Ronald Nas, Mark Norris, and father-son duo David and Douglas York each accomplished a major milestone by landing their very first giant trevally —a moment every saltwater angler dreams of. A massive congratulations to each of these anglers for their determination and success in conquering this iconic predator!

The action didn’t stop there. Ronald Nas, Doug York, and Richard York each added another highly sought-after species to their list by catching their first-ever triggerfish while walking the surf during low tide. Known for their elusive behavior and sharp eyesight, these fish are a challenging target—making each successful catch a true badge of honor. Well done, gentlemen, on checking off another bucket list species!

As we close the curtain on the 2024/2025 season here at Cosmoledo, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us—not just this week, but throughout the entire season. It’s been a journey full of memorable moments, spectacular catches, and new friendships forged on the flats.

Thank you for being part of the experience. We hope to see all of you back here soon, ready for more adventure on the wild and untamed waters of Cosmoledo Atoll.
