Astove Island is a world filled with colour, where the daily dramas of a pristine ocean ecosystem play out in front of your very eyes.
Astove offers a rare opportunity to gaze into a world that has changed very little over the years. Described as staring down into an underwater Grand Canyon, the Astove Wall consists of large flats and the reef dropping a vertical 90 degrees, with water from ankle-deep to well over a kilometre.
This unique feature makes it home to some of the best fishing in the world.
Our packages are tailored to each destination and every guest. Whether you are fishing alone, with a friend, or having the family join you, we have you covered.

Targeting Giant Trevallies on the fly is not for the faint-hearted, they are fierce, big, aggressive, and incredibly powerful. They are also quite often completely underestimated by new anglers but are respected by new and seasoned anglers alike. You need more than the best Giant Trevally flies, the best fly rod, and ideal conditions to catch giant Trevally – they have earned their name as ‘the gangstas of the flats’ for a good reason!

Golden-yellow fins with big, black eyes are the most striking features of an Indo-Pacific Permit. Apart from that, they are well camouflaged on the backdrop of white sand, turtle grass, or coral flats. Their body is a silver, almost mirror-like colour that reflects their habitat, making them nearly invisible to the untrained eye.
